Joe C. is a good solid hitter, if he can keep playing and maintain that average that would be pretty impressive. I think JP is capable of putting up good numbers, but he goes in and out of streaks like the rest of us. The main reason Kiel Barton and I have so many RBIs is just because where we bat in the order. I'd like to see Jesus or Amos play more. If they can keep up a good average and start adding more doubles & triples to their stats they could be as valuable as anyone.
But the true MVP in any game is the pitcher. I remember being a sub captain early this year against Ellefritz and I didn't have anybody that could throw batting practice while Elle had himself, Franque, Tony Zier, maybe even Veto. There should be some recognizition for the best (technically the worst) VLB pitcher, that be tough to track, maybe just have everybody write in a vote.

How many votes does Carlson get for MVP??
I remember Heckenkamp throwing some very very meaty pitches back in the day. He is my favorite VLB pitcher. Didn't he give up like 4 home runs in a row?? Even one to Ellefritz??

I'm pretty sure Heckenkamp is the best meat of all time. He was not my favorite to hit off of, though. I'll tell you what, I used to enjoy Escajeda and Fyfe the most, but Josh Francque was throwing some of the best BP I've seen on Wednesday.

yeah, bobbo, i one hopped it, i also got my first homer while you were gone now that the nerves are over im ready to try and catch you, as for doubles right now i have the lead, and kiel as much as i hit the fence i will end up with a lot of doubles, triples on the other hand are very hard to come by more that less hit two in a game. bring it on.

I'm probably the only one but I thought the crafty (probably crazy) lefty Ian Leatherman threw some pretty meaty pitches. I know I had at least one 3 homer game off of him.

Ian's tosses weren't bad, but they had a tendency to tail away at times. Where is that crazy SOB? Ian, if you're reading this, wake up from your back yard and walk to Douglas to play some ball.

Karma's a pregnant dog.
I do all that talking, then I get hurt and have to sit for a week. There's no justice in that. But, mark my words, I will be back legging out triples in no time.

You hit one out lefty? That is impressive. I don't think I've got that in me. Would that be the first VLBer ever to hit one out from both sides of the plate?
